What is the Parents’ Association (PA)?
P.S. 101Q’s PA is a 501(c)3 plays charity dedicated to enriching the school environment for our children. We are a volunteer organization and encourage all parents to be involved in the PA or one of our events. We play an essential role in our school and collaborate with our principal and school administration on a daily basis.
What does the PA do?
The PA organizes and supports a number of programs to enrich our school.
One of the PA’s largest programs is the After School program, which provides classes ranging from sports to hobbies and academics for our children after school hours. In addition to the After School program, the PA runs a number of events for our school community during the year. Please visit our Events page for additional information.
The PA also purchases items such as printers, computers, Smartboards, arts programs, dance programs, music and theater equipment, student magazines, adventure trips, air conditioners, and much more for use by our teachers and children.
How can I become a PA member?
As a parent, legally appointed guardian or a primary caregiver of a child who attends our school, you are automatically a member of the PA.
Do I have to pay a membership fee?
No, there is no required membership fee.

We are 100% reliant upon our volunteers to run all our events and programs. There are many volunteer opportunities. Some volunteer opportunities involve only a hour or two of time like recess monitors, head check or staffing the bake or book sales. Other volunteer opportunities are more involved such as chairing an event.

Contributions to the PA are tax deductible. Your contributions are also eligible for matching fund contributions from many places of business. P.S.101Q benefits greatly from the financial support of parents.
