Family International Dinner
Wednesday, June 3rd from 6:00pm to 8:30pm
THE RESPONSE TO THE DINNER HAS BEEN AMAZING….
BUT NOW WE NEED YOUR HELP!
 
We are in need of volunteers for the International Dinner and Parade. Come celebrate the diversity of PS 101. This fun filled family evening will feature a Parade of Cultures, activities for your children, amazing food from around the world, a raffle, great music and dancing.

Students Entering 4th & 5th Grade: Begin the G&T Placement Process – Applications Accepted May 11th thru 22nd

If your child is entering fourth or fifth grade in the 2015-2016 school year, you can start the admissions process for placement in citywide and district Gifted & Talented programs. Parents of eligible children may submit a Request for Placement (RFP) in person at a Family Welcome Center beginning on Monday.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!

 

We are asking Kindergarten parents for suggested voluntary donations to cover the expenses for the K Stepping Up Ceremony.  We’re suggesting a contribution amount of $35 (CASH)

for each student.  

BUT HEY…

we won’t stop you if you’re able to contribute more since we’ll need as much help as possible to cover the projected expenses. 
 
Please send in cash donations in an envelope marked: K Stepping Up 2015 – Attn: Class Parents
 

We are seeking 100% participation so please help us achieve this goal!

Matilda Trip FINAL INSTRUCTIONS

 

 

Chaperones and Students:  See you tomorrow morning, 7:15am — 
 
Everyone meet in auditorium.  Attendance will be taken.
 
The buses will leave at 7:30 and we can not delay departure for anyone.  Reminder of schedule below!
 
Make sure you and all the students wear comfortable shoes.  The workshop will include physical activity.  Chaperones encouraged to participate!
 
Wouldn’t hurt to bring bottle of water with you.

The Day’s Schedule:

7:15am       All students, chaperones and teachers arrive at school and 

get on buses

7:30             Buses leave

8:45             Buses arrive at Ripley Grier Studios, 520 8th Ave (between

36th and 37th St)

Reaching the studios requires an elevator ride.  There are 140 of us, so this will take some time!

10:45            Return to buses

11:05            Arrive at Hard Rock Café, 1501 Broadway (at 43rd St)

12:45pm      Walk to Shubert Theatre at 225 West 44th St

1:00             Show begins

3:50             Get onto buses to return to school

4:45             Estimated time of return to school

Parade Of Cultures
Following upon the success of last’s years “fashion show”, we will be having a Parade of Cultures again this year. The parade is open to all students. Students may wear the clothes of any culture. We ask that students who are participating be available for a dress rehearsal on Friday, May 29th at 8am and arrive at 5:45pm on the night of the event.
 
Tickets
$20 per family or bring a food dish and entrance is free. Teachers, staff and administrators are free.

 

Let us know if you plan to come, if you want to bring a dish or participate in the Parade of Cultures.
